What to wear when getting full sleeve tattoo?

I want the tattoo to cut off at the top of my arm, not all the way down my chest like some tattoos are done.
Would it be ok to wear a short sleeve shirt that is loose (where it could be rolled up and taped)?
How about a sleeveless shirt?
Will they ask me to take my shirt off?
